It provides medical students with a variety of resources needed to excel in basic science studies and clerkships; offers instant access to videos, self-assessment, and leading medical textbooks that facilitate decision-making at the point-of-care; and allows practicing physicians to brush up on their medical knowledge to ensure best patient outcomes.

You can access the workshop slides here and email Prof. Kate Angell at kangell@med.cuny.edu if you would like access to the recording.

Mastering Medical Sources: Scholarly vs. Popular

The Medical Library held a workshop on differentiating between scholarly and popular information resources on November 21 over Zoom by Medical Librarian Prof. Katelyn Angell. This is an important skill identified by CUNY Med faculty as of great value to students.

You can access the workshop slides here and email Prof. Angell at kangell@med.cuny.edu if you would like access to the recording.

Mastering MESH Terms

The CUNY School of Medicine Medical Library held a workshop on October 25 over Zoom by Medical Librarian Prof. Katelyn Angell. The workshop covered the intricacies of Medical Subject Headings (MeSH), a valuable tool developed by the National Library of Medicine for searching biomedical information. Whether you're a seasoned medical researcher or just starting your academic career, understanding MeSH terms can significantly boost your research capabilities.
